NEWS UPDATE OCTOBER & NOVEMBER 2023

I think we will all agree that this year has flown by, this month marks one year since I took over the reins from our previous Chair, Charlotte, who did an amazing job particularly during covid. The new Trustees and I have all been busy learning the ropes and are delighted that so many of the projects, some of which were in the pipeline and some new ones have now come to fruition. These include; the opening of the Sensory Trail. Also, the new toilet facilities and the Sensory Room, both donated and installed by Omexon. Our new ASDAN qualification stable management/pony care Courses run by coach Ian Duncan are proving to be very popular too. Another success story has been the Tea with the Ponies events. Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) sessions on Fridays, are also showcasing that we are not only about Riding for the Disabled, as our name suggests, but have so much more to offer people. So we have decided that our group should be called Gordon Group RDA & Inverurie Therapy Pony Centre, which we feel more aptly describes who we are. We want to be more inclusive and offer even more people the opportunity to enjoy the huge benefits our therapy ponies can bring to their lives.

Without the dedication, commitment, and hard work of all our volunteers and coaches Gordon Group RDA & Inverurie Therapy PonyCentre would not exist so I would like to thank everyone. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the individuals, companies and groups who have made donations to our charity so far this year, we very much appreciate all the support.
